Windows · Ableton Live and Aseprite
Know where every export came from.
Finds your Ableton sets and Aseprite sprites anywhere on your PC, traces exported tracks to their sets, and clears duplicates.
In progress, not available to download yet. Runs offline, no account.
Which set made this WAV?
Every exported track, including the ones copied into your game folders, is matched to the Live set that rendered it. The length has to agree to the sample with the loop brace or arrangement, backed up by the saves either side of the export and the file name.
Every sprite on the PC, drawn the way Aseprite draws it.
It searches every drive for Aseprite files and previews them with a renderer checked frame by frame against Aseprite itself, blend modes and tilemaps included. Animation tags play at their real frame timings.
Duplicates, with a way out
A folder copied between Dropbox and OneDrive shows up as a pair. Pick the side to keep and the identical files on the other go to the Recycle Bin. The last copy of anything stays put.
Lost and found
It reads what Aseprite remembers opening, what git history still holds and which drives are missing, then shows what is gone and what can come back.
Aseprite keeps no backups. Sourcery does.
Every version of a sprite it sees is kept by its content, so a file that is overwritten, moved or deleted can still be restored.
Everything else worth knowing.
Questions people ask.
When can I download it?
Not yet. It is being built and tested against one real, very messy library first. It will land on this page when it is ready.
Will it change my projects?
It only reads your sets and sprites. The two things that touch files, clearing duplicates and restoring lost sprites, happen only when you click them, and cleared files go to the Recycle Bin.
Does it upload anything?
No. It runs on your PC with no account, no analytics and no update check.
Which files does it read?
Ableton Live 11 and 12 sets, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 and OGG exports, and Aseprite files old and new, including tilemaps, blend modes and linked cels.
Coming to the shelf.
